- Blue gel food coloring
- 4 cups vanilla ice cream
- 2 (8 oz.) packages of Swedish Fish and Friends (or any shark gummy candy)
How to Make This Ocean Punch Recipe
Step One: Add Ice Cream

- Start with the Ice Cream: In a large bowl, add the vanilla ice cream.
Step Two: Add Liquids

- Add the Color: Drop a bit of the blue gel food coloring over the ice cream. Adjust the amount for your desired shade of blue.
- Mix in the Liquids: Pour in the coconut water and then the Sprite. Stir gently to combine. The ice cream will melt slightly, creating a creamy, frothy texture.
- Adjust the Color: Add more blue gel food coloring if needed to achieve a vibrant blue hue.
Step Three: Top with Gummy Fish

- Add the Gummy Fish: Toss in some of the Swedish Fish and Friends gummy candies, reserving a few to add to each cup when serving.
Variations to Ocean Punch
There are several variations you can make for this punch recipe with Sprite.
- Lime Sherbet Option: Swap the vanilla ice cream for lime sherbet to enhance the lemon-lime flavor.
- Gummy Alternatives: Use regular Swedish Fish, gummy sharks, or other gummy ocean creatures if Swedish Fish and Friends aren’t available.
- Color Change: Experiment with different gel food coloring shades to match your party theme.

Ocean Water Alcoholic Drink
For an adult twist to make this an adult beverage, consider adding a splash of alcohol. Here are some suggestions:
- Coconut Rum: Enhances the tropical flavor.
- Vodka: Keeps the punch light and refreshing.
- Blue Curacao: Adds a citrus flavor and enhances the blue color.
- Malibu Rum: Adds a smooth, coconut flavor.
How to Store this Blue Punch
- Refrigerate: If making ahead, store the punch in the refrigerator without the gummy candies. Add the gummies just before serving to keep them from getting too soggy.
- Serve Chilled: For best results, serve the punch chilled. You can also freeze some gummy candies in ice cubes to use as fun and colorful ice cubes that won’t dilute the punch.
This Under the Sea Party Punch is a delightful and whimsical addition to any gathering. Its quick preparation, vibrant appearance, and tasty flavor make it a favorite for both kids and adults. Give it a try at your next event and watch everyone dive into the fun!
