Equipment

  • air fryer

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/3 water at 90 degrees
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 Tablespoons everything bagel seasoning 1 tablespoon per bagel to taste

Instructions

  • In large mixing bowl, add sugar, yeast and water. Stir and let sit for 10 minutes until bubbles form.
  • Add flour and salt and stir lightly for 1 minute.
  • Place dough on floured surface and lightly knead dough with hands. Place 1 Tablespoon of olive oil into a medium-sized bowl and add kneaded dough. Cover with a damp towel and let dough rise for 1 hour.
  • Once dough is doubled in size, cut into 8 even pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a ball by tucking in the edges.
  • Create a hole in the center of the bagel using your fingers and lightly stretch the hole open about an inch.
  • Boil water in a large pot, then put the heat to low. Put each bagel in the hot water for 1-2 minutes per side. (The longer the bagel soaks, the chewier the result.)
  • (optional) Season the bagels with 1 Tablespoon of the Everything Bagel seasoning.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with oil and place bagels in and cook on 350 for 8 minutes.
