This caramel apple crisp combines the delicious flavor combination of sweet and sticky caramel with juicy apples. The caramel apples are topped with a brown sugar and oat crisp topping and baked until golden. This incredible apple dessert is delicious served warm as is, or topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle of caramel sauce.

Ingredients

Apple Filling:

  • 5 Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Crisp Topping:

  • ¾ cup oats
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the thinly sliced apples, 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and caramel sauce and mix until combined.

  • Spoon mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish and set aside.

For the Topping

  • In a large mixing bowl add the oats, all purpose flour, brown sugar, melted butter, ground cinnamon, and baking powder and mix to combine.

  • Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apple slices.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm.
