How To Make Crumbl Funfetti Milkshake Cookies

Step One: Prepare the Dough

First process in preparing Crumbl Funfetti Milkshake Cookies is to prepare the dough.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Beat the butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla with a stand mixer, until combined and smooth.
  • Whisk the flour and baking powder in a medium bowl.
  • Gradually beat the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms. Scrape the sides of the bowl periodically to ensure that everything is thoroughly mixed.

Step Two: Bake the Cookies

The next process in making Crumbl Funfetti Milkshake Cookies is to bake the cookies and coat them with sprinkles
  • Scoop out the dough with a medium ice cream scooper and roll into balls.
  • Pour the rainbow sprinkles into a bowl and roll each cookie dough ball to completely coat it in sprinkles.
  • Place the cookies on a baking sheet and lightly flatten each one into a thick disk.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Step Three: Add the Frosting

  • Using the stand mixer, beat all frosting ingredients. The mixture should be smooth and hold a peak.
  • Scoop the frosting into the piping bag.
  • Pipe a thick spiral of frosting on the top of the cookies, starting in the middle and working your way to the edge. Allow the frosting to harden before serving.

Tips and Suggestions

  • If you have a food scale on hand, you can weigh out your dough balls to 2.5 oz. This will give you the perfect Crumble cookie size and ensure that they bake evenly.
  • Be careful not to overbake your cookies or they’ll lose that soft and chewy Crumbl cookie texture and turn out crunchy.
  • Make sure your eggs and butter are at room temperature. This will help create a smooth, even dough.

Variations

  • Use chocolate or different combinations of sprinkle colors in place of the funfetti sprinkles.
  • Try a strawberry buttercream frosting in place of the vanilla frosting. You can also add 1 tsp cake batter extract to make a cake batter frosting that goes well with the funfetti cookies.
  • If you’re making these for a party, you might want a smaller size. Try using a small cookie scoop instead of medium.
  • Add some white chocolate chips into the cookie batter before forming the cookies.

How Do I Store Crumbl Milkshake Cookies?

Store your leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature or wrap each one carefully in plastic wrap. They should keep for 3-4 days. Be sure to store them in a single layer so the frosting doesn’t get smashed.

Can I Freeze Crumbl Milkshake Cookies?

Yes! Store them in a freezer bag or an airtight container with parchment paper between each layer and you can freeze them for up to three months. When ready to serve, defrost overnight in the refrigerator before bringing them to room temperature.

What if I Don’t Have a Piping Bag?

You can use a Ziploc bag with the corner cut off and pipe the frosting through the hole in the bag. Or if you prefer, just spread the frosting on with a knife.
