  • Heat chocolate in microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds. Stir, then continue heating 10-15 seconds or more until smooth.

Step Three: Decorate

  • Heat 3 tablespoons of peanut butter in microwave for about 20 seconds. Peanut butter should be smooth, but not completely melted or liquid. Place into one corner of ziptop style bag. Cut the very tip of corner, just enough to pipe peanut butter through. Pipe each ball with peanut butter.
  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Tips

  • If you don’t have a food processor, simply place the pretzels in a large zip-top bag and crush them using a rolling pin or the bottom of a measuring cup. Add peanut butter and powdered sugar to the same bag, then knead it to mix everything together.
  • Be sure to use regular peanut butter—natural varieties can be too runny for this recipe.
  • Chocolate bars like Hershey’s melt easily and create a smooth coating for the balls. If you’re using chocolate chips or wafers, just follow the melting instructions. You may need to add a little vegetable oil to get the perfect texture.

How To Store This Recipe

Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Can You Freeze Peanut Butter Pretzel Balls?

  • Freeze individually: Place the assembled bites on a baking sheet in a single layer and pop them in the freezer for about 1-2 hours until they’re solid.
  • Transfer to a container: Once frozen, transfer them to an airtight container or a freezer-safe bag, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Thawing and serving: When you’re ready to enjoy them, simply take out the desired amount and let them thaw at room temperature for a few minutes. Or, enjoy them straight from the freezer for an extra crunch!

They can last in the freezer for up to 3 months, maintaining their flavor and texture perfectly.
